Breedlove was a second team All-State performer in New Jersey as a sophomore.

Breedlove is currently playing her AAU ball with the NYC Lady Gauchos Elite team. She has a very good handle, range on her jumper and the ability to pressure the ball 94 feet, but the point guard still wants to add more to her game. "This summer I will be working on my strength, and pull-up jumper," said Breedlove

Basketball has been a part of Breedlove's life as far back as she can remember. "When I was 3 years old [my] dad gave [me] a basketball, so I started playing from that point." Her dad, Antonio (Mousey) Carela, is known for coaching many NBA players in different summer leagues. He is also the founder of the Tri-State Classic, a popular summer tournament in Harlem, NY.

Her work on her jumper has already started to pay dividends. At Battle in the Boro in Tennessee, her Gauchos team was involved in a triple OT game. Breedlove stepped up and drained back-to-back 3-pointers in the third OT to help the Lady Choz win the game. According to Breedlove, she's being recruited by "Miami, Cincinnati, Xavier, UAB, Arizona, Richmond, UCF and Georgetown." In mid-August she says she plans to take unofficial visits to Xavier and Miami.
